Here are a few common questions and tips that are often asked
-Door not locking when closed?
This could be due to the door being misaligned. This fault can usually be rectified with an adjustment of hinges and/or keeps.
-I'm locked out, will I need a new lock?
We will always endeavour to open your door with non-destructive methods allowing you to retain your existing lock. However, there may be instances where this is not possible. Where this is the case the options will be explained and quoted before any other form of entry is made.
-Lock in uPVC door is stiff to operate?
This could be related to alignment but also could just need servicing. A spray of a lubricant that is graphite or silicone based may help to make the locking smoother.
-Unable to remove key when door locked?
It is possible that the CAM of the cylinder has become twisted and therefore not resting in the correct position. This can sometimes be reset but may require a replacement cylinder.
-How much does a new lock cost?
The cost of a lock all depends on the type and the security standard that is required. All prices can be quoted before any work commences.
-Do I have any guarantee?
All new parts fitted come with a 12 month guarantee for customer piece of mind.
